Budget Construct was formed in early 2018 by Adam Sumegi.
Adam and his family moved to the Los Angeles in 2014 from Sydney, Australia, where he has over 30 years’ experience in both residential and commercial projects. Since then Adam has successfully completed his own development projects in Los Angeles. It became very clear along the way, that the greater Los Angeles community lacked honest, reliable construction services, lead by qualified professionals, that adhered to a budget and delivered timely outcomes.
Adam started his construction journey in 1983 as an Apprentice Carpenter in Sydney, Australia. From the beginning, Adam was taught hands on by master builders, the skills in managing and constructing ground up new construction and the intricacies in renovating classic old homes and buildings. After completing his apprenticeship, Adam obtained his unrestricted builders license after completing an additional 4 years of construction and construction management formal training in 1990, with an official qualification of Building Foreman Clerk of Works. Since then Adam has obtained an Advanced Diploma in Building and Construction, Diploma in Training and Education and a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
Adam’s skill sets go way beyond residential construction. Adam has led, designed, and run projects in, pre-fabricated construction and infrastructure for residential, mining and student housing. Shop fitting and fine detailed joinery projects.
Often clients are daunted and overwhelmed by the whole construction process. Adam believes communication is key, guiding his clients with honesty and experience, coming together to have a step by step plan on the building process, to ensure the budget is strictly adhered to. Often eliminating the need for an external project manager. No surprises.
Adam’s entrepreneurial flare has driven him to forming Budget Construct, enabling him to deliver quality construction on a budget for the Greater Los Angeles community.
